Standing on the deck of this oceanfront home I observe the movements of the ocean water. It is relentless in it’s pushing forward. The waves start out at sea and crash on the shore. Over and over they come. There is a crashing sound and then momentary stillness. Slowly it rises millimeter by millimeter until it consumes what is in its path feasting on the land.
