Just 40 minutes north of Brisbane is the birthplace of the famous group called the Bee Gees. They lived in the town of Redcliffe. You’ll probably remember them from the music in the movie Saturday Night Fever which featured John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.
In Redcliffe they have dedicated a street to their memory called Bee Gee Lane. Brenda and I and our friends Kellie and Mike drove up to pay homage. After all, the Bee Gees were a big influence in the music of our days. To end on a musical high note, we spent the evening enjoying live jazz at the Brisbane Jazz Club.
