It’s another beautiful day on the Gold Coast, Australia. This morning we decided to stroll along the boardwalk that runs parallel to the beach. We pass endless high rise apartment buildings facing the sea. There are also small homes left over from past decades slated for demolition, making way for new high rise apartments in the one to three million dollar range. At mile two we turned left towards the water and made our way back along the beach. The beach stretches for many miles in a perfect ribbon of golden sand.
The ocean water temperature is a warm 24 degrees or 75 degrees Fahrenheit. We wet our toes along the way and went for a dip between the yellow and red flags where lifeguards keep watch. The ocean is both Brenda and my touch stone that says I’m on vacation. It was a beautiful morning that made us very happy.
