Queensland Museum

Just up the road within walking distance from us through the lovely South bank park is the state museum. It houses a variety of exhibitions from art to science. Currently we saw an exhibition on the relationship between Indigenous people from New Guinea and Northern Queensland.

Several panels showed the artifacts from the area spanning thousand of years. Included was a video message from tribal elders about sharing knowledge and traditional stories from the past. We are greatly inspired by the respect for the past the exhibition displayed.
