Located at the end of Kangaroo Point is the Brisbane Jazz Club, a venerable City institution. Last night we hopped aboard the free Kitty Cat ferry service from our new apartment. A short 20 minutes later we arrived at the ferry stop next to the club.
We purchased a year membership which entitles us to discounts on entrance fees and drinks. The evening performance featured a wonderful jazz band and blues singer called Dezzie D & The Stingrayz. Brenda and I danced to the blues on the outdoor dance floor in the pleasant warm night air. Located right next to the river it felt like we were back in New Orleans.
