The old city has some very interesting secret places. Take for instance this little park we encountered between two buildings. We literally stumbled upon this beautiful oasis with a fountain and sculptures in the center. Along one side is a human size chess board and another has a lovely seating area. This is a happy, tranquil and romantic spot where the citizens of La Paz can briefly check out from the hubbub of the city.
