In Los Barriles, there are a lot of gringos and they love to hang out at the local coffee shop, or Starbucks wanna be. It’s a cute outdoor coffee shop and we have met some fascinating people. There is the guy from Columbia who was once kidnapped by Columbia rebels and survived. There are several book authors and musicians. Plus we met Steve Mirassou from the famous vineyard established in the 1850’s in Almaden Valley and is also related to the Pelletier family. Cozy coffee shop is a virtual crossroads of the world
