Dear friends,
Brenda I wish you a great year 2022 ahead from our hideaway in Los Barriles, Mexico. During the past 4 months we have been on the road in Europe, the high seas and in Mexico. In some ways it has gone faster than expected and then slower too. By staying in a spot for longer than a day or two you really start to observe more clearly and get a real sense of a place. This is slow travel and by doing so you pick up the nuances of a place and can begin to see great beauty instead of a mere outline of a location.
I was watching a rock get washed over by waves on January 1 and was thinking about this concept. Then I decided to make a slow motion video of the waves and the rock. The result showed me new things I didn’t see before. I share these with you in the hopes you all take some time to slow down and see the beauty that a slower pace affords us.
