This beautiful city on the Croatian Coast is a real jewel. Small and quaint it is packed with charming lanes and neighborhoods.
At the top of the hill is St. Marks church which started construction in the 13th century. In beautiful Romanesque style the church centerpiece is an original Tintoretto painting. Just outside the church is another St. Peter church, one of the original churches in the town. Inside was a charming artist selling his olive wood sculptures.
Later in the morning we visited the Marco Polo museum. It had a wonderful audio guided tour of their dioramas depicting Polo’s life. Korcula has become one of our favorite spots on the Adriatic
