Dubrovnik Repeat

Sept 24, 2021

Our Windsurf ship stopped at this port a second time. What we decided to do is take a long walk around and on top of the city ramparts. It cost $60 for the two of us but it was a lovely day and this is a highly sought after tourist thing to do. How could we pass this up?

After visiting the local cathedral dedicated to the Saint Blasius, the patron Saint of Dubrovnik, we scaled the walls for the one hour walk up and down the ramparts surrounding the old city. We were treated to fantastic views of the Adriatic and the city from a very high level. Back in the 17th century the city was hit by an earthquake which leveled most buildings within the walls. Only the battlements we were walking remained standing.
