St. John Cathedral is the largest Anglican Church in Brisbane. While I am no longer a practicing Christian, I enjoy going to mass on occasion. With all the turmoil in this world swirling around oligarchs coming to power, I felt the need to go somewhere where striving to be like our better angels is still preached.
Sitting in the pew and looking up at the beautiful cathedral and hearing sublime music calmed my spirits. I was inspired to realize there are still people who believe goodness and justice will prevail.
