Yesterday afternoon I was drawn to the window overlooking the river. There I heard and saw several boats parading along the river. It was the first annual gay pride boat parade. There were many participants from large vessels to kayaks all cheering and dancing to music. We residents from the buildings on the river cheered and waved back. It was a colorful and lovely event on a river which connects us all.
