The Queensland Performing Arts Center held a free concert of their Pierce Pipe Organ. Our friend JT organized a welcome back to Australia outing for us to hear the concert and go to the nearby Charming Squire pub afterwards for lunch.
The organ recital was absolutely fantastic with compositions by Bach, Mendelson, Franck, Peeters, Martinson, and Vierne. Christopher Wrench was the organist. We were transported to musical heaven by the variety of music.
Over pizza and beer we had a great catching up with our friends JT, Clive and Elizabeth and Peter and Julie. Thank you JT for organizing this warm and celebratory occasion for us!
