Samoa is a small speck of an island in the middle of the Pacific. It is a very Christian nation with many churches. They go all out building places of worship. The Lepea Cathedral for instance has a stunningly beautiful roof made of mahogany wood.
Samoa is also part of the Commonwealth of nations and later in the month the King and Queen of England are coming for a visit. Everyone is excited.
Apia was the home of Robert Louis Stevenson. He built a house on a hill and wrote Treasure Island and Jekyll and Hyde here. His wonderful mansion is cooled by the sea breezes as it flows throughout the house. You can feel the ghost of Stevenson in every room.
