When I lived in San Jose I owned a condo at the AXIS apartments. I was one of the first 10 residents and subsequently became the chairman of the condo association. 15 years ago I hired Tony Gutierrez as general manager of the building. He and I did many battles with the developers of the building to fix water and structural issues which eventually resulted in a $20 million dollar settlement. We have bonded over the many issues we faced to make AXIS the jewel of San Jose.
Lon Allan and I on the other hand have known each other since the last century. We worked on forming SVDX for corporate board education. Lon was head attorney for Atari and now sits on the board of Groth Winery. We reunited today to enjoy our famous luncheons at the Left Bank Restaurant at Santana Row of steak frites and of course the latest release from Groth.
