Just up the road from where we are staying is this lovely country pub in the next town over. It is your typical English country pub that you see in the movies. Inside is a warm atmosphere of locals who come in the evening to enjoy a pint of beer and the company of their friends by the fire.
We went recently on a Monday night when they had 10 local musicians perform two songs each. This is an opportunity for them to try out new songs and compositions with friends and family. It was lovely to hear the variety of music and the great number of accomplished musicians. Everyone there accepted us a a friend and not so much as a visitor. It was a great evening with various musicians serenading us near the fire and with a good pint of ale.
