In the UK they drive on the left side of the road and the driver sits on the right side of the car. It takes some getting used to if you have driven the other way all your life. My mantra when I get in the car here and in Australia has been « Keep to the left! « But the thing that really makes your knuckles white, is the narrow country lanes. These small road are so small, two cars passing are within a cat whisker apart. You have got to be very careful as you never know when a big truck is just about to round the curve ahead. at least they warn you about a weak bridge ahead (see first photo).
