BNE – SFO – ABQ

The trip back to Santa Fe involved flying from Brisbane to San Francisco to Albuquerque. The first leg took only twelve and a half hours. Not too bad in covering that distance. In San Francisco instead of a 4 hour layover it turned into 8! They changed the flight departure to Albuquerque three times which made us feel rather anxious. There were over a 1000 flights cancelled that day due to bad weather. But we did make it, although later than we had hoped. And the best part was all our bags made it safely back!

Once we got our suitcases we headed to the parking garage where our car was parked for the last 8 months. Fortunately the garage took good car of the car, starting it periodically to keep the battery charged. From there we hopped on the freeway, this time on the right side of the road and sped to Santa Fe at freeway speeds of 136 kilometers per hour. Finally back at our Casa Diosa we plopped into bed, exhausted but glad to be in our home.
