John Taylor (JT) and his wife Liz Vella hosted us for our final night in Brisbane at their lovely home. They prepared a beautiful dinner featuring an Australian favorite – meat pie. The Beef Bourguignon filling was an absolute winner with special mashed potatoes and fresh veggies, paired with a beautiful red wine.
We stayed the night and JT drove us to the airport in the morning to catch our direct flight from Brisbane to San Francisco. As we said our final goodbyes, even Ruby looked sad we were leaving. Thank you, JT and Liz, for the perfect ending to our six months as Queenslanders!
