Our dear friends Clive and Elizabeth came to spend my birthday weekend at our apartment in Brisbane. We joke that they are the country mice living in Maleny and we are the city mice living in Brisbane.
On Saturday morning we enjoyed a lovely swim in our pool and I fixed an Eggs Bene breakfast. Afterwards, we walked to the city where Clive and Elizabeth showed us where they had their wedding and reception. We saw the venue for their reception, a beautiful old restaurant in the City Park that used to be the Royal Botanical Gardener residence built in the 1860’s.
Later on, Clive took me to the movies to allow Brenda time to make a special gift for my birthday party later that night. Stay tuned to see what it was.
