On January 14 of this year, Arnold del Carlo passed away at the ripe old age of 101! About 9 years ago I first met him to make a film documentary about his extraordinary life as a photographer. He lived during the depression, was a military photographer during WWII and took some of the most iconic photographs of Silicon Valley in the 1960’s.
Arnold was quite a character, full of life and humor. It was my honor along with Tom Layton to make a film about his life. You can see the film below, a copy of which he stipulated must be put besides him in his coffin.
