Having been around Brisbane for a while you can tell the people just love their city. Like most Australians they have loving nicknames for their cities. For example in Fremantle we discovered the nickname is Freo. Here in Brisbane they call their city Brissie.
Recently we went to the Museum of Brisbane. There, we saw an electronic display of Brissie-isms which I will share with you. They give you a sense of the love of the city and the sense of humor these Australians have about their city.
