Brenda and I love being by the water. There is no better way to get around Brisbane than by using the ferry service to get to our favorite spots quickly.
Usually these ferrys stop at your nearest dock every 15 minutes so you don’t have to wait long for a pickup. There are two types of services. One is the CityCat and provides service the full length of the river down to the harbor at the Pacific. Cost for a ride within the city is about $2.
The other option is to hop aboard the KittyCat, a much smaller ferry which only services downtown. The great thing about that is it is totally free of charge.
CityCat or KittyCat, either way the city is wonderfully accessible on the Brisbane River.
