This Christmas we are far from family and friends. The distance feels more acute but thanks to technology we were able to live chat with all three of our girls Kimberly, Kate and Molly. It felt wonderful to see them and be virtually present.
Brisbane has shut down on Christmas Day. So, we decided to take a peaceful long walk along the river and hop one of the free ferry services back to the dock near our apartment.
For Christmas dinner we made filet mignon paired with a nice Italian wine. For desert we enjoyed two helpings of a lovely chocolate truffle cake. The quiet enjoyment of our surroundings, good food and the loving company of each other was our gift of Christmas.
