We disembarked the ship in Sydney and then flew to Brisbane. Brisbane temperature was the warmest we have felt in days.
In the evening we enjoyed a Baramundi dinner and saw a beautiful Christmas show at the Queensland Performing Arts Center. The concert hall was very elegantly decorated with lights and Christmas trees. The acoustics were absolutely superb.
The program started with a song written and sung by an Aboriginal woman. She sang about the 60,000 year history of people in this land, the elders and how the land belongs to all of us and to take care of it.
The Christmas songs that followed were all our old favorites. A full orchestra, two choirs, three soloists and their grand organ entertained us. We walked away feeling warm inside with thinking “WOW” now that’s a fantastic Christmas show.
