Perfect Pisco

As many of you know Brenda is a big fan of the Peruvian alcohol called Pisco. She makes wonderful Pisco Sour drinks when we are entertaining friends back home.

In Margaret River she spotted a restaurant serving the rarely found same drink. The bar made her a Pisco Sour to her great satisfaction. Of course we had to find out the brand of Pisco used. Turns out it was distilled 30 minutes up the road at the Wise Winery.

We made tracks for the distillery on our way to our next stop in Fremantle. We met the distiller who makes the Pisco, Steve Gunnis. He uses special Chardonnay grapes and distills it three times. The result is a beautiful smooth Pisco that still has a kick.

Our day ended in Fremantle with a gorgeous sunset and two Happy Campers.
