A common form of transportation here is the All Terrain Vehicle or ATV. The Gringos love driving them on the beaches going back and forth all day long. You really feel like you are on the set of a Mad Max movie. This is especially true when the vehicles themselves are jacked up, noisy and evil looking.
The Mexican government has outlawed their use on beaches but the Gringos ignor the rules even going into places where it is clearly marked no vehicles allowed. What can you say when the majority of ATV users, young as 10 and as old as 80 cheerfully ride the beach in their souped up vehicles. Kinda spoils the scenery for the rest of us.
