On any given afternoon in the winter you can see dozens of kite surfers off the Barilles coast. Steady 10 to 15 mile an hour winds blow in just the right direction every afternoon and then calm down in the evening. This is one of the most famous places in the world for this sport.
There have been some new technological innovations by adding fins to hydrofoil the surfboard off the water and look like they are flying. It’s fun to watch these acrobats zip across the water at high speed often leaping dozens of feet into the air and gracefully landing back on their boards zig zagging over the ocean.
