This morning we left our Agritourismo villa and drove to Sorrento in Southern Italy near Naples. The trip took about 5 hours and the weather became much warmer than what we left. Driving on the Autostrada was a pleasure and you could see the change in the flora from deep greens and fall colors to much dryer climate. You could also see how the topography changed from rolling hills to sharp peaks and volcanoes. Just before Naples we saw the first palm trees off the Autostrada.
In Sorrento we are staying at the Belair hotel with a drop dead gorgeous view of the bay of Naples with Mt. Vesuvius in the background. I have attached a link to the song Come back to Sorrento for your listening pleasure.
