Lovely Zadar

Sept 20, 2021

As we sail north towards Venice, we stopped in Zardar, Croatia on the Dalmatian Coast. What impressed us the most has been the cleanliness and innovative creative thinking of the people. Where we docked they had a solar panel which at night plays an amazing light show. Right next to it is an ocean organ where the wave action creates a musical symphony from the waves going in and out.

Afterwards, we took a sailboat ride to the island opposite Zadar. We stopped at several peaceful villages. In one they had stretched along the harbor beautiful wooden sun bathing deck chairs. No graffiti and not a trace of vandalism on the deck chairs. We even saw a French table and chairs that someone put out for anyone to use.

Later on we climbed a small path on an isolated island and saw beautiful olive trees, a little church, and ripe grapes.
