Mykonos winds blow hard.

This morning we arrived in Mykonos. The name of the town means wind blows. Our cruise was supposed to stay overnight so that we could party hardy (what the island is known for) but the approaching gale force winds will cause us to leave early for calmer weather.

Nonetheless, the town has a wonderful charm with windmills no longer in use to grind grain. The streets are all crooked to discourage invaiders and there is even a section called Little Venice as a nod to the Venetian occupants of the town. Worth the picturesque stop and an overnight if you are a night club party kind of person.
