With the skyscraper buildings nearby I am recalling the story of the Tower of Babble. In brief, it is the story in the Old Testament that talks about a king wanting to build a tower to heaven. God struck down the project by suddenly making everyone who was working on it to speak different languages. This stopped everything cold and society collapsed.
This is not unlike today where humans see reality differently and effectively speak different languages. How is it possible our realities and how we think about them are so far apart? This is not unique to America but even here in Australia people are enthusiastic about the new American regime while some are horrified. Without commonality of words and beliefs, the Bible warns us of the consequences.
