Along the shore of the biggest lake in the Lake District is this charming steam powered train. With only two stops the train takes 18 minutes from one end to the other.
Sitting in the carriage just behind the engine we were treated to the steam smoke emerging past our window. As the train started out the station, you remembered the refrain « I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…. » For 18 minutes we felt like characters in Downton Abbey.
