February 29 is the extra day you get in a leap year. Here in San Juan, Puerto Rico was an extra lovely day. Olga Poole and her daughter Marina, dear friends from the San Francisco Bay Area happen to have been here at the same time. Olga and her husband own a home here in the old town.
We spent a lovely day together walking around the picturesque city and eating at Olga’s favorite local restaurants and sipping cocktails at favorite local bars. Brenda and I felt privileged to experience this beautiful city through local eyes.
Old town San Juan is a feast for the senses. From their brilliantly colored buildings to the latin music blaring from the local bars and to the tasty foods puts a wonderful smile on your face. Thanks Olga and Marina for sharing this lovely historic place with us!
