We were invited to dinner at our friends Phillip Coombs and Mary Jones’ home in Santa Fe. Their lovely home in Las Campanas overlooks the desert and nearby Jemez Mountains. It was a warm summer evening, and before dining Al fresco with delicious food and wine, we were treated to a special surprise.
Phillip is an avid car collector and showed us his latest acquisition, a 1949 MG TC. It has been restored to pristine condition and was recently shipped over from the UK. With great pride, Phillip explained that it was the racing car of Phil Hill, the famous American race car driver. What a beautiful vehicle with hand crafted elegance that has withstood the test of time. Thank you, Phillip and Mary, for sharing your new pride and joy and for a lovely evening!
