In the US, June 18 is Father’s Day. So this morning I received a beautiful card from Brenda and well-wishes from other dear ones. Then Brenda took me out to my favorite brunch of Eggs Benedict and a Flat White coffee.
It was a beautiful sunny morning in Brisbane. We walked along the riverfront, stopping by the park’s community garden to see the new plantings and herbs, then sitting by the river with our feet dangling over the wall.
In the afternoon we went to the Queensland Performing Arts Center and enjoyed a powerful concert entitled From the Heartland – Vienna to Budapest. One of the highlights was an amazing new world premiere composition for trumpet and didgeridoo by renowned artists James Morrison and Chris Williams.
To cap off Father’s Day, we rode The Wheel of Brisbane as the sun set over the City. Of course I would have to say I was on top of the world! Thank you, Brenda, for a wonderful day!
