Sometimes when you’re away on a trip you just want to do something familiar. In Santa Fe, New Mexico, Brenda and I would go out and have a burger and a beer, (or nachos and margaritas,) before seeing a movie. This is a very American tradition.
Last night we went to Betty’s Burger in downtown Brisbane and saw a movie at the old Elizabeth Theatre. Both are within 5 minutes walking distance from where we are staying. You get there under a canopy of high rise buildings.
The burgers were very American along with onion rings and fries. Plus this burger chain of restaurants offers their own beer. The old charming theatre was around the corner and we enjoyed seeing Steven Speilberg’s new film The Fabelmans. It was a lovely date night.
