Our Holland/America ship, the Noordam left Fremantle and set sail for Sydney at 1:30pm. It is a 14-day cruise set to stop at several ports along the Southern Ocean. Our ultimate destination will be Brisbane.
Leaving Perth was a bit emotional for me. My family in 1956 (including me as a 3 year old) left this same port on a ship bound for San Francisco. That voyage changed the trajectory or our lives and led me to where I am today. I am grateful for that journey which eventually resulted in being married to Brenda and sharing a beautiful life together.
