Fremantle is the old and beautiful port city that serves Perth. The nickname for Fremantle is Freo. This is the port from which we will be leaving tomorrow on our cruise through the Southern Ocean to Sydney.
Freo is a world-renowned city for its beautifully preserved 19th century buildings. When you walk around the city you feel like you stepped into the past in a European city. Many buildings looked like this in the United States at one time but have since been torn down. I am glad to see them preserved here.
