We have spent two days in this lovely city. The name means at the mouth of the river Ness. It has a population of about 65,000. It is the administrative center for the Highlands. And better still, it is ranked the 5th happiest city in the UK.
Last night we walked the lovely downtown chalked full of restaurants and happy patrons. Don’t have a dinner reservation? The reply everywhere we went was “So sorry we are completely booked tonight”. We finally found a South Asian restaurant who gave us his last table for two. Then we enjoyed Scottish music at the famous Hootananny Bar.
