Reflections

We arrived in Glasgow after connecting flights to Chicago and Dublin. The last leg was on a puddle jumper propeller plane through turbulent clouds and rain. We were very happy to have final arrived.

The city itself looks pretty dreary in the rain and cold weather much like any town back east. First impression is it is a working man’s city. One can imagine in Spring and Summer it can be a very beautiful place.

But as night began to fall on the rain soaked streets, a different kind of beauty emerged from the reflection of the lights. Like our smiles getting off the plane, Glasgow was giving us a welcoming smile and shining an inner light of beauty under the surface.
