Today we left Maleny for Cairns and Port Douglas in Northern Queensland. During our farewell with Clive and Elizabeth it was raining pretty good. It was sad to say goodbye as Elizabeth stood at the front door waving goodbye.
At Brisbane airport it still was raining. And now finally here in Port Douglas there are heaps of rain still coming down. And it is forecast to rain for several days. The inclement weather may affect our plans to snorkel the Great Barrier reef tomorrow. Compared to Santa Fe where there are numerous forest fires, I think the rain is pretty sweet.
