We recently met a lovely couple, Brian and Hope who are retired military. They have lived all over the world and decided to make their home in Buena Vista, nearby. They started by buying a beautiful sea view lot for around $50k. Then they opted to buy two prefab shipping containers to place on their property for around $80k combined. They will live in them until their permanent home is built. Then they will rent it out to vacationers when their house is done. Not a bad way to go
