We are enjoying a terrific time here in Ft. Lauderdale with our friends Hanif and Jasmine. They live in a section of town called Las Olas. It’s a quaint location that the city has made into a restaurant mecca of cute dining places. Despite their living in a high rise we are able to walk out the lobby and enjoy any number of 50 great eateries.
In Europe during our visit everyone wore a mask indoors in public spaces without question. Here that rule is a lot more random. You can observe a hodgepodge of restaurants that practice wearing masks and some who don’t. And the crowds at these places are huge. It’s especially weird when restaurant staff doesn’t wear a mask and you are wearing one. It’s a big reminder we are back in the USA.
