On our journey to our Agri-villa in Tuscany, Brenda and I decided to stop in the small town of Castellina in Chianti. There are a bunch of towns with the last name including the name Chianti. This is the region where the famous Chianti wines are grown. Chianti has come a long way from those wicker bottles we used to put candles in.
Today the wines of this region have the special black rooster on the label to denote that are officially from this region. In addition to tasting great wines we are treated to some beautiful dishes as well. A most memorable meal was spinach ravioli with a pumpkin sauce that was perfect in every way. We are being treated to beautiful scenery and beautiful food.
